In order to support our community, Katy Child Psychology Associates is
offering 45-minute consultation visits for parents seeking information
about how to help their children cope with, and adjust to, the impact of
Hurricane Harvey. *There is no charge for these visits*.
Through October 13, 2017
these consultations are not “clinical” (not intended to diagnose or treat
mental/emotional disorders), and are more focused on general tips, advice,
and strategies. Topics covered include the following:
1) What reactions are normal?
2) Helping them process what they went through (how to talk with them about
Harvey, handling difficult questions, what to share and not share, offering
appropriate reassurances of their safety).
3) Signs to look for that indicate a child may be having difficulty coping
with the impact of Harvey.
Please call our office at 281-829-1599 or send an email
to email@example.com to schedule a parent consult meeting.
